Umani Ronchi, Podere Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2023

Umani Ronchi was founded over 60 years ago by its namesake near the village of Cupramontana, in the heart of the Verdicchio Classico DOC. Now into its third generation of family ownership, the specialise in what central Italy does best: vibrant, fruit-driven red and white wines. Podere Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2023 is a deliciously easy-drinking red. Made from 100% Montepulciano, the grapes were hand-harvested and aged in steel for 4 months prior to bottling to retain freshness in the wine. A nose of plum, morello cherry and raspberry moves to a smooth, medium-bodied palate with well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity. A great wine to pair with meaty ragus or roast chicken.
